Bought an 01 3.0L V6 last year, turbo and trans died on the drive home. Parts get expensive, though eEuroParts is awesome. Not terribly hard to work on, get the SAAB WIS on your favorite torrent site and it’ll walk you through any repair you can think of.
On a plus side someone who is a touch under 6-foot tall can lie down in the back with the hatch closed if they are diagonal across the back, it seems like a great road trip car.
